Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla is the Chairman of the Indian multinational Aditya Birla Group, which operates in 40 countries across six continents. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA degree from the London Business School.

Mr. Birla chairs the Boards of all major Group companies in India and globally including Novelis Inc., Birla Carbon, Aditya Birla Chemicals, Domsjö Fabriker, Terrace Bay Pulp Mill, Hindalco Industries Ltd., Grasim Industries Ltd., UltraTech Cement Ltd., Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. and Aditya Birla Capital Ltd. In the 28 years, at the helm of the Group, he has accelerated growth, built meritocracy and enhanced stakeholder value. In the process he has raised the Group’s turnover by well over 30x to $65 billion.

He has been the architect of over 40 successful acquisitions by the Group in India and abroad, the highest by any Indian multinational. Key acquisitions include Aleris Corporation, Novelis, the second largest acquisition ever by an Indian company, Columbian Chemicals, Domsjö Fabriker, CTP GmbH - Chemicals & Technologies, Jaypee Cement, Binani Cement, Larsen & Toubro's cement division, Indal from Alcan, Madura Garments, the Chlor Alkali division of Kanoria Chemicals and Solaris Chemtech Industries. Mr. Birla has restructured the businesses to emerge as a global leader in the sectors in which the Group operates. Mrs. Rajashree Birla is an exemplar in the area of community initiatives and rural development. She spearheads Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, the Group’s apex body responsible for development projects.

Mrs. Birla oversees the Group’s social and welfare driven work across its companies. The footprint of the Centre’s work straddles over 7,000 villages, reaching out to 9 million people. Aditya Birla Group runs 20 hospitals and 5,000 medical camps treating over a million patients. Its 56 schools pan India impart quality education to over 46,500 children. Both its hospitals as well as schools are ‘Not for Profit’ institutions.

Mrs. Birla is the Chairperson of the FICCI – Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence, Habitat for Humanity (India) and is on the Board of the Asia Pacific Committee as well as Habitat’s Global Committee.

She is the Chairperson of FICCI’s first ever Expert Committee on CSR. She serves on the Board of Director’s CSR Committee of State Bank of India. She is on the Board of BAIF Development Research Foundation, Pune and Population First, Mumbai. She serves on the Akhil Bharatvarshiya Maheshwari Education Trust, Indore. As a patron of arts and culture, she heads the ‘Sangit Kala Kendra’, a centre for performing arts, as its President.

In recognition of the exemplary work done by Mrs. Rajashree Birla, leading national and international organisations have showered accolades upon her. Among these the most outstanding one has been that of the Government of India which bestowed the ‘Padma Bhushan’ Award in 2011 on Mrs. Rajashree Birla in the area of social work.

In recognition of Mrs. Birla’s unrelenting endeavours towards polio eradication, Mrs. Pratibha Patil, the former President of India, honoured her with the much coveted 'Polio Eradication Champion' Award at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

Ms. Preeti Vyas is a design thinker, an entrepreneur, designer, artist, writer, seeker and a creative soul at large. She has evolved a methodology called Designomics as she passionately believes that Design is a management tool and that every business can profit from Design. 

She has steered Vyas Giannetti Creative Private Limited (VGC) over the last 25 years, to a top position in India, as an independent Design and Communication Consultancy with offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Since graduating from the National Institute of Design, Ms. Preeti has created some of India’s most Iconic brand stories and is counted amongst the most influential women in India in the field of Design and Communication.

Perhaps more to the point, what characterizes Ms. Preeti’s oeuvre; either as the Creative director of some marquee advertising agencies or as Founder of VGC, is her penchant of breaking everything down to its fundamental truth. From making economic sense with Design as a management tool, to aiding business and marketing strategy, Ms. Preeti has infused it all with the essence of intelligent design thinking and creativity.  

As a thought leader, she has curated a programme called Designomics for Bloomberg and has been on the advisory councils of ISDI Parsons School of Design, MIT School of Design, member of the India Design Council and the governing council of National Institute of Design (NID), Amravati. She also serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited and TCNS Clothing Company Limited and as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Birla Estates Private Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company).

He retired as Group Executive President and Chief Financial Officer of Hindalco Industries Limited in 2012. Thereafter he also worked with Haldia Petrochemicals Limited as Head-F&A, EVP, and CFO from November 2016 to November 2018.

He holds Independent Directorship in various listed and unlisted companies viz. Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, Heubach Colorants India Limited, India Carbon Limited, Sasken Technologies Limited, Innvol Medical India Limited and Indvinity Clothing Retail Private Limited.

Mr. Kabra (aged 64 years) is currently an advisor to a private equity firm – True North. Earlier he spent 16 years as a General Partner of True North. Prior to this, he worked in various senior positions in Hindustan Lever Ltd. and Unilever PLC. He was on the global category board of Unilever’s home care business (London), head of treasury for Asia & Africa (Singapore), and head of purchasing for Hindustan lever (Mumbai).

He is a chartered accountant by qualification. He is on the board of directors of Shree Digvijay Cement Company Limited and Atria Convergent Technologies Private Limited. Earlier he was part-time chairman of Fincare Small Finance Bank.

Mr. K. T. Jithendran is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Birla Estates Private Limited, the real estate venture of the Aditya Birla Group and a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Century Textiles and Industries Limited.

Mr. Jithendran was instrumental in the formation of Birla Estates, a foray of the Aditya Birla Group into Real Estate. Under the stewardship of Mr. Jithendran Birla Estates has established itself as a real estate developer of choice with a pan India footprint, well established in the top Indian markets of NCR, MMR, Bengaluru and Pune.

He has played a pivotal role in driving the company's vision of transforming the real estate sector. His leadership has been marked by a commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and sustainable development. Under his guidance, Birla Estates has launched several landmark projects that have set new benchmarks in the industry, reflecting his dedication to excellence and forward-thinking mindset.

Before joining Birla Estates, Mr. Jithendran was Executive Director of Godrej Properties Limited (GPL) and Director on the board of Godrej Properties. He has established GPL as a premier real estate player in the country and has provided leadership & vision to sales, marketing and overall operations.

Prior to GPL, he worked with Mecon India Limited as Metallurgical Engineering Consultant. He has more than 32 years of professional experience and has completed his Advance Management Program (AMP) from Harvard Business School (HBS). He is a Civil Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta.

Mr. Rajendra Kumar Dalmia is the Managing Director of Aditya Birla Real Estate Limited (ABREL), (Formerly Century Textiles and Industries Limited (CTIL)), a part of the Aditya Birla Group. Under the Chairmanship of Shri. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Mr. Dalmia as the Managing Director holds the overall responsibility for the Company’s businesses.

A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Mr. Dalmia has been with the Birla Group for over four decades. He started his career in 1978 as Vice-President at the Technological Institute of Textiles and Sciences, Haryana, transferred to Century Textiles and Industries Limited, Mumbai in 1985, achieved the position of President/CEO in 1999, and ascended to Managing Director in July 2022.

Mr. Dalmia has also held several positions including Chairmanships and Directorships across prestigious private and government industry associations, institutions, firms, trusts, research foundations, chambers, councils, and committees. He is also the recipient of several accolades and fellowships.

In addition, Mr. Dalmia manages the residential school “B K Birla Center for Education” at Talegaon near Pune, Birla Public School in Doha-Qatar, and other Birla schools at Ranikhet and Haldwani.

With great enthusiasm and dedication towards charitable and social causes, Mr. Dalmia oversaw the construction of the Birla Radha Krishna Mandir in Goa and is leading large-scale construction efforts of other temples in Talegaon - Pune, and Sarjapur - Bengaluru.
